MOSA connects university research with hands-on outdoor learning. Along a newly created nature trail at the Research centre for Hydrogen and Carbon, participants explore biodiversity, circular economy, renewable resources, and carbon-related applications through interactive stations.

SAFE develops a living lab for social health, biodiversity, and sustainable resource use. The approximately 1.5-hectare site at Montanuniversität Leoben links research and practice through education paths, forest adaptation measures, and biodiversity demonstrators.

Creates a regional flagship platform for exchange between research, industry, and society while strengthening climate-resilient land-use knowledge.

2026 - 2028
ENERGIA develops an innovative education programme for the Carinthia–Styria future region (Area Süd). Together with schools, companies, and education partners, RIC Leoben guides pupils through a two-year learning spiral on renewable energy, circular economy, and sustainable resource use following an experience–understand–shape approach.
Target: Pupils from primary school to upper secondary level, schools, educators, and regional education partners

Partners: PMS Group GmbH, RAG Austria AG, regional schools, and additional education stakeholders in the Carinthia–Styria region
Strengthens energy, sustainability, and STEM competencies, builds a continuous education pathway from primary school to university level, and publishes learning materials as Open Educational Resources for long-term school use while promoting gender-sensitive STEM participation.
